Voluntary Work

There are lots of opportunities locally for using and developing your skills by helping 'not for profit' organisations. Voluntary work can also be a good way to get your confidence back after a long spell out of work, or as experience before looking for a job.

If you would like to view the volunteer vacancies - register as a Job Hunter. When you are asked to indicate your employment preferences fill in your preferred type of work and also tick the box 'Voluntary/Community Work' in the sector options below.

Work-Experience Placements

If you would like the opportunity to see what a particular job entails and begin to develop the skills required then a Work-Experience Placement may be just what you need. It also allows a potential employer to see what skills and qualities you have.

If you are interested in a Work-Experience Placement, register as a Job Hunter and then complete the Employment Interests section and tick the Work Experience box.
